Our teams begin practice and camps in early August to prepare for the season. Practice time/day is set by each team's head coach. Most tackle football teams will practice a few days a week for 1.5 to 2.0 hours. Our cheer and flag football programs practice one or two days a week with one game on the weekend. We practice and play our home games at the Bordentown Regional Middle School. Our home games will be held on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
The regular season consists of 8 games. In most cases, teams will have 4 home games and 4 away games. Typically, there are two Divisions (North & South) with the top 4 teams in each division qualifying for the playoffs. Most teams in the WJYFL are just a short drive away taking only a few minutes. Occasionally, the farthest may be about an hour away.
Our league is competitive and playing time is not guaranteed, however we strongly encourage our coaches to get all kids in the game whenever possible.
